Pop culture phenomena I've watched recently with teengirl

- Much Ado About Nothing (the Tennant-Tate filmed play)
- The Princess Bride
- Young Frankenstein
- Legally Blonde
- Due South (Season 2)
- I, Claudius

I guess it's better than just reading the Mad Magazine parodies, which is what I did as a kid, as my parents were not big on movie going. I've never actually seen The Godfather or Planet of the Apes (shuddup, I'm old).

AAAHHH!!!

Princess Bride! When I was young, still in High School, my whole family got into that book. Even my dryland Texas wheat farmer father. He loved that book. That is was "a bunch of durn nonsense" but we had to wait until he finished it before we got to read it!

And Due South! Season 2! Keep watching. Season 3 and 4 are just as fun. A different Ray and a different feel, but I actually liked Frasier better.

And Victoria! So you and teengirl watched the two Victoria episodes! What did she think?!!!

We read the book first too, and don't know why we didn't read it out loud to girlchild, but there you go. I knew she'd love the movie!

I think we missed Victoria, will go back!

The Princess Bride is one of those movies I've watched so many times that I can recite the entire movie along with the characters... I've seen Young Frankenstein but not nearly as many times.
