things that were lost are now found

mood: tired

Keys found! I've been so worried that I lost them on the street but they were by the washing machine the whole time. PHEW. Also found my credit card at the restaurant I went to last week and my phone charger in the back of the car (huh?)

Also worked, made most of the phonecalls and did most of the urgent errands on my list. Had a long chat with my old old friend the proprietor of the local SF/Fantasy store Other Change of Hobbit and bought the new Guy Gavriel Kay and Delia Sherman books. And searched for teenboy who was late for his psychiatrist appt. (he's doing well) and then took kidlet at movement class, and stayed to watch, as per her request.

*collapses in a heap on the floor*

PS: Last night, I spent a happy hour or two reading viva_gloria's RPS. Some of the best Sean/Viggo I've ever read -- strong, sweet and incredibly hot -- and lots of other good stuff too: Hugo! Laurence! Elijah! Orlando!.

Is it St. Anthony who's the patron saint of finding things? I can't remember all of that mummery now. At any rate, I am happy things were found; enjoy your rest!

A lot of those old fics are still my favorites. I've had a lot of fun lately hunting for them so that I could save them to my harddrive. It's kind of interesting how the whole LOTRIPS (particularly Orli/Viggo) have evolved over the years.

I'm waiting to buy the Kay until I go to see him at Borderlands in February... but I have the Sherman, just haven't gotten to it yet!

I know what you mean about losing/finding things... Josh was frantic yesterday because he couldn't find his cell phone--and then discovered that the cell phone he did find wasn't his, but belonged to the friend at whose house we had dinner on Saturday. They have the same model phone, and forgetting his was already in a bag to go home, he picked hers up. Made for an interesting evening! *grin* But he got hers back to her and found his, so all is well.

Yay for finding your keys and credit card, though!

And oh, yes, viva_gloria's RPS is what really started me on the long slide downward into writing...absolutely gorgeous prose, spot-on characters, and beautiful, beautiful smut. *grin* I think perhaps I shall go pay her archives a visit this evening.
