Maybe y'all knew, but I just found out...

mood: optimistic

Billy's doing a lead voice for the Dominator X animation (just FYI, his voice is not in the trailer that I could hear). And MGM is going to distribute Billy's Flying Scotsman film in the US.

Heros - new cast member : Christopher Eccleston (according to buddytv.)

I'm rooting for New Line to screw up The Hobbit negotiations and the rights to revert to Saul Zaentz. That's because Zaentz's Fantasy Records is based in Berkeley, a mile down the street from me and across from a favorite lunch place... When I worked in that area, I'd see lots of musicians, but didn't recognize them because I'm pathetic at pop culture. *hopes for Pete and Fran and Philippa sightings*

(ETA: cellphones are supposed to be exempt from auto-dialers, which most of the telemarketers use. Still, might as well opt out whenever possible!) via almaviva: [In about a week], all (american) cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls for which you'll be charged. WTF. Anyway, the FCC's do not call registry number is 888-382-1222 or you can register at www.donotcall.gov.

When the Firefly fans convention was cancelled underneath them, they had an unconvention anyway. Many of the actors, including Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk, showed up for autographs and pictures, and apparently there was a party held in a secret location. That's a Big Damn Hero Fandom! (Fan report from our own maitheas here; others here and here, pictures here and a really good article here)

And nawwwww, I'm in dorrie6's love meme (now closed to comments cos of the LJ limits). I assumed I wasn't there and it's nice to be wrong.

Actually, I went to the do not call website, and they say the cell phone thing isn't really true. But I did register again to be on the safe side. :)

What Phone Numbers Can I Register?

10. Can I register my cell phone on the National Do Not Call Registry?

Yes, you may place your personal cell phone number on the National Do Not Call Registry. The registry has accepted cell phone numbers since it opened for registrations in June 2003. There is no deadline to register a home or cell phone number on the Registry.

You may have received an email telling you that your cell phone is about to be assaulted by telemarketing calls as a result of a new cell phone number database; however, that is not the case. FCC regulations prohibit telemarketers from using automated dialers to call cell phone numbers. Automated dialers are standard in the industry, so most telemarketers don't call consumers on their cell phones without their consent.

ooops! Still: if they can use humans, that's bad too. So I registered.
