long weekend of not very much

« previous entry | next entry »

mood: recumbent

I was a slug this weekend. Except for the picnic and walk in the park with my mom yesterday. And the groceries today. Other than that: sluggishness, blissful rest. Watched the newest Doctor Who with my guys and enjoyed it, especially the hair. Went to bed early, slept late. Caught up on flist. Failed to catch up on reccing. Some half-awake friends-friending. I think I'm finally rested enough.

Posted some Establishment RPG fic lately: Billy and Rachel Weisz silent sex because her mum was visiting and then reflected lust. Alan had snarky sexy kinky fun with Alex Kapranos in New York. And Miranda's spending the day with Scott Speedman, trying out submission and sex in the bath.

I am attempting to write solofic again. Started a document in writely so when I look at the list there, I am reminded that I can indeed write by myself.

(Heh. I meant to save this with the file name "resting" but it came out "restomg" and I'm not going to change it)

That's a great typo *grins*

I started mentally commenting on how being a slug is necessary and wholesome sometimes, but then I saw you already referred to it as 'blissful rest' so I'm reassured that way.

What do you think of writely? I was thinking about trying it out, but I think they're waitlisting people now and waiting until after they move onto google's servers before letting people join again.

I think it has too many damn features for me, but otherwise, it's fine. I'll invite you, I have 47 more invites.

I haven't seen writely before. Looks like it could be a good thing, especially when you're co-writing. How do you find it to use?

Agree totally about The Hair. :)

It's actually overkill for online writing, and the generated HTML sucks, but you can just treat it as text, copy and paste to an LJ update field. It does check for changes every few minutes, so you can see the tig, which is great, but it doesn't notify the other person when you're done with changes: not so great. So: mixed but useful.

Rest. I need some of that! I'm so glad you got some - that's what long weekends are for.

And yay porn! I've never come across Writely before, but it looks intruiging. *pokes at it until the Google deal goes through*

It is intriguing but imperfect for our needs (see notes about). I'll invite you as well.
