GIP for darling dork Dom icon. It cracks me up every time I look at it. I wish I knew how to make the text stand out more, but it makes the point.

And the >serious high-res Dom from the AIDS benefit is compelling. I adore the picture -- maybe it's the contrast with the dork pictures, maybe it's the little laugh wrinkles around his eyes. This is inspiring me to go back to solo fic, there's one with Dom as the lead which fits this picture really well.

Dork Moi:
  1. We have five Macs (three functional) and three PCs in our household. And four people. Sometimes we're all on at once, including the five-year-old. t'husband and I tend to talk about tech stuff in bed. It's a form of foreplay. Geek-flavored dorks.

  2. I am horribly ignorant of most pop culture, from sports to music to celebrities (well, less than I used to be). History, geography, politics, astronomy, geology, anthropology: sure. TV shows: not so much. I had not been to a dance club for at least 20 years until oulangi swept us off on a tour of gay clubs before the TORN party last year.

  3. Was a trekkie in the 70s and an SF and fantasy fan for evah. At least 35 years. Read Tolkien at 9 and didn't get the end, read LOTR again at 12 and did. I remember hearing the news that he died. Still read some books, but fanfic is generally better and more interesting.

  4. Shoes. With plantar fasciitis, if I don't wear arch supports, it feels like my soles are on fire. So, it's Birkinstocks for me. Weddings, funerals, talks in front of 300 people: I wear Birkies.

  5. We call our house "Slug Hall" because we'd rather sit around and play online than tidy up. Also, our decor is Full Bookcases.

And, apparently, I've started a bit of a trend. Since I wrote Magic Fingers, I've seen at least two other stories in which Billy cures Elijah of hiccups with sex. I still think mine's the best. Oh golly, there's feedback I didn't answer! *goes*

Ah, another old guard trekkie. Me too, way back in the 70s, clinging onto every precious novelisation and really bad new novel, writing *awful* fan fic.

In high school, my group tried to write a Star Trek parody. We didn't realize it's self-defeating to write a parody of a farce (one of the Harry Mudd episodes).

*snickers*

And that's a cute icon, indeed, although kind of hard to guess who it is, if you don't know. :-)

Yeah, as the kids get older, the competition for bookcase space gets tougher!
