Jed Brophy will be at the Return of the Convention in Bristol at the end of March, along with Alan Lee and John Howe. Go marysiak! Lucky people who are closer than than 5,000 miles away, do check it out: this means you, lobelia321.

Orlando and Kate seem to be breaking up. Which means over-enthusiastic fangirls will either ramp up their fantasies of his availability, and/or pair him up with Viggo again. RPS is a much better outlet for all that stuff -- separate fiction from reality, eh?

livejournal comment dayMonday January 31 is LJ Comment Day: everyone make the effort to comment on at least 15 LJ entries and make people happy.
Not a problem for me, once anointed by lobelia321 as "most likely to comment" ;-) Brought to you by the fact that I'm feeling a bit lonely these days

lady_of_asheru recommends the comedy now starting on BBC America Black Books. I will give it a try, and see if it works for me (I can't handle embarrassment humor very well).

One of my co-workers is addicted to Black's Books, and keeps telling me how much I'd love it too.

A curmudgeonly bookstore owner? That's pretty much all I needed to hear.

:)

Well, we should give it a try. Some English comedy works for me, some just makes me squirm.

two dogs, two "animal guardians" as we say in the oh-so-PC Bay Area, they could negotiate visitation rights...

I could tell you weren't serious cos you said "Miss B" as opposed to one of the Kate-hater epithets. I have no default fondness for thin blonde actresses, but no hate either.

I love Black Books - it's one of the few programmes that makes me laugh out loud. My Bill Bailey love knows no bounds.

Black Books rules, dude. I got some pirate DVDs so I've seen up to Season Three. Not so much embarassment humor but lots of wackiness, she does ensue.

Word on the RPS. It helps you keep things in perspective. By wildly skewing them. Yes.

with RPS, you know you're making it up. it's when you attribute your fantasies to real life that it gets uncomfortable for me.

Black Books is marvellous. It's a pretty odd sort of humour, so you need to give it a few episodes, but it's worth it. Dylan Moran is just...*adores*

I shall comment here, then, mainly because you should not be left feeling lonely. *hugs you*

And oh dear... is the breakup a sign of the apocalypse? As in does this mean we're going to see a sudden surge in Orlando rape fics with Viggo as either the savior or the rapist? *hides from fandom under a rock until the waves settle*
