From a Viggo interview in The Oregonian.

You must be delighted to get the "Houses of the Healing" sequence back into the "Return of the King" Extended Edition.

Well, I don't know what's in there. But if (Peter Jackson's) adding 45 or 50 minutes, as I hear, I would be surprised if that wasn't in there.

There's a lot more material before the "Paths of the Dead," and I don't know if he's using it or not. I hope he is. There's stuff that helps Miranda Otto's character and Karl Urban's character, and Dominic Monaghan's. I would think "Houses of Healing" is probably a given because it's such an important part of the book, and I really did honestly miss it.

"At the crossroads" is a chapter title on the theatrical dvds which makes me think the headless king will drop in right. there. But what kills me is that in the stills on the dvd that comes with the special edition soundtrack there is a photo of the score for "The Passing of the Grey Company"! I fall down in fits every time I see it.*foams at the mouth*

Changing the subject drastically, if I were to come by Saturday morning so we could walk out to get coffee, what time should I appear? (I'm feeling the need to be just a bit more 'pro-active', to use a very B-town word.*g*)

The king statue and the Grey Company will be great! *crosses fingers*

Complicated Saturday schedule, if you don't mind being accompanied by a three-year-old, how about Sunday? Like 10 or so?

Tomorrow it is, then. I'll leave here at 10 and walk down, thus giving you a bit of 'or so'.*g*

I 'm sure there is no film of the Grey Company, but I wonder why the name was kept if not simply to drive up mad!

wait, that was in the oregonian and i missed it?!?!?!?

damn.

but oh, so good.

you know, the houses of healing was always my favorite part of the books. it's really where the people of minas tirith really learn/figure out that he's the king.

plus éowyn/faramir.
gotta have that. :D
