brain weasels notably absent right now

mood: cautiously happy

I want to commemorate this moment when I spent a half hour looking out the window, marveling at my luck of living in this gorgeous place and riding the fancy bus instead of driving.

I thought about Stuff, including a couple of failures, and did not instantly spiral into brainweasels reminding me of Everything That Is Wrong In My Life. Nice! I vaguely remember being basically happy, and wow do I miss this.

Isn't it great when that feeling finally comes back? I'm glad you not only felt it, but took the time to acknowledge how precious it was.

I was lucky to have been in a space where it was easy. Usually I try to appreciate the views and don't quite make it. Nice change.

Congratulations - it sounds very special indeed to acknowledge that.

I'm glad you're feeling better, and I hope it all continues to grow for you.

When you're so used to living that constant existence of blame and frustration that you forget there's even anything else, those moments of clarity and freedom feel so incredibly precious...

Huh, I never thought of it as blame before, but yeah, that's part of it. Along with shame and guilt and frustration :-(

The weasels have pounced on my fears that it will never be so nice again.

I do think acknowledging the small good moments is an important occasion, so I am happy for you, who deserve so, so much.

I was lucky to be in that time and place -- Monday the bus came back up 880 and it was really slow stop and go, nausea inducing. Today we took the same amount of time, but it was beautiful. I'm so lucky!
