mood: annoyed

All my lovely friends who have been fighting with LJ when posting: it's not you, it's them.

I either use the HTML editor or the slightly elderly Mac client xjournal and I know ljwin32_sema works on Linux and Windows: you may want to try those out.

the current list of fixed and broken things from LJ - they have not fixed the bug with cut tags yet :-(

Oh, my Gawd, I know!!!

And I was SO sure it was me largely because it looked like other people were able to post just fine. What on earth has happened that has changed everything?

Thank you for the informed update. I've concluded there is little I can do but wait for it to resolve. XXX

I am glad they tried to fix the Rich Text Editor versus Internet Explorer 9 dilemma - ever since updating to Internet Explorer 9, I had to create entries mainly in HTML, which wasn't easy, I can assure you !

However, now I've begun using an alternate browser ( Safari ) exclusively whenever Internet Explorer 9 caused problems, LJ has updated the Rich Text Editor, and it still reacts funny. For instance, not auto-completing / pre-populating when you are adding tags, or miraculously centering the text when you are adding an LJ Cut . . .

I have to say, you as a user have to become very creative to work around all the issues !

Love,

- Karin.

So true the bit regarding creativity - the editing process has almost wiped me out a time or two. The upside to all of it is that I learn things that way, but wow has it been painful.

They at least know about the cut tag problem an the centering text problem, I wish they'd fixed them before though!
