Title: Jalpeño
Fandom: LOTR RPS
Pairing: Billy Boyd / Viggo Mortensen
Rating: PG
Feedback: yes please! also constructive criticism of any kind
Disclaimer: not true, I made it up
Archive: yes, go ahead, please let me know
Notes:Part of a long Viggo story that's being written in the most agonizing little increments. Thanks to shaenie, who laughed.

When Billy came into the kitchen, Viggo looked up from the cutting board and smiled. Billy didn't smile back, just walked over, pushed Viggo back against the wall, and kissed him hard.

"Bloody Hell, I've missed you." Billy grated when they finally broke apart.

"Peter's a slave driver, I feel like a zombie."

"What's that strange smell?"

"Jalapeño peppers," Viggo said, sliding his index finger across Billy's lips and into his mouth.

"Holy Keerist! that's hot!" Billy yelped, eyes watering, pulling Viggo's finger away. "You fucking bastard!"

Viggo's mouth came down on his, soothing the burn and distracting him nicely.

mmm! mmm peppers & viggo & billy! a great scene, i like billy's intensity, viggo's nurturing.

constructive criticism? if you write the last line in an active voice, it'll probably hammer home the point:

Viggo's mouth came down on his, soothing the burn and distracting him nicely.

into

Viggo's mouth came down on his. It soothed the burn and distracted him nicely.

I'm very glad you liked it. Should probably have worked through the last line a couple more times, but I was being pressured to go out and be social...

Wow. As per your usual, quite clever. But Viggo and Billy! Somehow I just never thought of that pairing. But you make it work so well. Lovely food drabble. Just lovely.

Thank you so much. I swear I don't know where these things come from, but am grateful for whatever. I surprised myself, but then I thought, why not? The age difference is much smaller than with Orlando. I'm going to try to expand on it.

So cute! Little domestic happy moments.

And? Billy. So Scottish. Jalapeno-wuss. (Says the girl who eats them, and lets everyone else have the nachos they were on.)

Well, it's partly that he's not expecting pepperhot. Northern European food tends to be bland and sweet...

I stand by:

pepper-wuss.

now, if we were talking thai bird peppers, or scotch bonnets, then we can talk about hot.

:)

Duh, I feel like such a dork. You're right, of course. What was I thinking? My only excuse is that the last jalapeño I had was from a rather old jar and it had gotten pretty strong...

Was this your dream? Hot in many ways. and funny. and sweet too. Unusual pairing - I think you might have to expand on this *g*

Ahh, the soothing touch of Viggo's mouth. Man, I could use some of that stored in the cupboard for those pesky burns. I cannot wait for the longer parts, and just...eee!
