Dom on Kimmell

mood: amused

Nothing particularly earthshaking, just Dom cuteness. Without eyeliner, dammit.

Dom comes out and immediately wants to know Kimmell's favorite type of eggs and favorite pizza toppings. His (he claims) are coddled eggs, with anchovy or chives & sour cream, and pizza with pepperoni and anchovy (all said tongue in cheek, don't believe a word of it). Something about an egg and pizza party...

Kimmell asked him about the new actors on Lost, and Dom said that they're all getting along well with Michelle, Adewale, Cynthia and Bernard. Says they're tight-knit, shooting on different units. Makes jokes about kissing the female winners at the People's Choice Awards.

He says he nearly had a falling out with one of the greens dept. guy who dresses in camouflage. Dom went off to pee during a night shoot and almost peed on the guy, who's sitting in the foliage. Twice. (Dom was horribly coy about wording, but explicit with miming). They make Jedi jokes.

They made jokes about Lost being repeats ("bummer" said Dom), and showed a little clip of Charlie being confronted by Mr. Eko about the where he found the (heroin) statue. Dom says "A very physically imposing, kinda scary guy and a then a sarcastic kinda rock star, it's a nice combination." Kimmel agrees, and says he thinks in the end they'd find themselves making up. "Or making love," says Dom. Or doing heroin together, says Kimmel. "Mmmm, sweet relief," Dom says, and starts cracking up along with the audience.

Dom tells a story about his last vacation, didn't work out too well, in Vegas. "I went with a Scottish friend of mine called Paul Reilly, an actor in England." [sorry tinkilts]. He was playing Texas Hold'Em, feeling all kindof cool, doing well, people watching. Wants to change a hundred dollar chip for twenties. "So in my kinda cool state of mind, I pick up this hundred-dollar chip, and go to kinda like send it to to the guy to like change it. I nonchalantly flick it and it fires off my nail and hits him right in the eye. And he's like "ahhh!", and I stand up and as I stand up knock my drink across the whole card table. So in the space of like three seconds I'm like Paul Newman and then I just turn into a complete geek and they nearly throw me out of the casino."

"I like gambling, but you know what, it's weird, cos I like losing money. I like the thrill of that." Kimmel: "Really?" Dom: "woah, five hundred chips, and they've all gone quickly, that's so exciting! That's the game for me, I'm like 'look at it dissappear! Isn't that fun!" Kimmell: we'll have to play together, win-win.

Nick Schwartzen (sp?) comes out next. And tells a story about how they were both auditioning about five years ago for a crappy movie and he was so stoked about Dom's being in LOTR. They were stuck in this room, finally, he turns to Dom and says 'Dude, what are you doing here? You're in the Lord of the Rings, you know, you don't have to wait for anybody.' Dom's laughing and leaning back so far that his head's on the top of the couch and all you can see is his neck. The guy goes on, that he said 'You know, you should leave', and Dom said, 'Yeah, you're right,' and so he left! Dom shakes a fist and says "Eahhh!" and everyone's laughing, including the audience.

Oh, he was so adorable. And remains my favourite of the bunch to watch on TV. He's so... Sly. And beamy. And less prone to the 'Um, Uh, and Yeah' monster than Orli.

... Although I do so love watching Orli. *misty sigh*

Thanks for the recap. :)
