This is a cool meme.

  1. I'm a Lotripper first and probably always. I got into LJ and fandom via LOTR RPS and while I've read a bunch of other fanfic, some of it excellent, I have so far found no fandom that feels anything like home.

  2. I am not a "slasher": I love fanfic, mostly erotic -- gay, het, femme, and variations thereon. Despite #1, and unlike most of my friends, I don't leap to the hoyay in everything I see -- I believe that men can be friends without teh buttsecks, but it sure makes good stories! I am interested in Cate and Miranda and Philippa and Franc, and I like the women that the LOTR actors are dating: so far, I think they're all strong, interesting, and beautiful. If you want to be nasty about them, please do it elsewhere.

  3. I have no OTP: Probably related to #2, I am a pairing slut and enjoy odd relationships. I'm very fond of Billy/Viggo and Dom/Orlando. I wrote one of the first Elijah/Sean/Christine stories, also a Viggo/Ian McKellan. I'll read anything, though I reserve the right to stop if it's too schmoopy or just not to my taste.

  4. I promise to start reccing again: I read almost everything but I haven't had the energy to give much feedback or post recs lately, but I plan to start again. Reminders are fine ;-)

  5. I love my RPG characterss: Establishment Billy, Miranda and Alan Cumming, and Sable Knot Orlando, and the fabulous co-writers I'm tigging with.

  6. I'm female: also, middle-aged, married, with a teenage boy and a kidlet girl, (no cats cos Mr. M. is allergic), self-employed at a job a love, except for my long-term case of clinical depression. Old enough to know why feminism is important

  7. Geek Iz Me: we have seven working computers in our household. I got into computers in the early 80s, Macs in 1987, BBSs thereafter, The Well and the Internet 1989. I have done programming and scripting (currently Perl), tech writing, management, and a lot of user interface design.

  8. I'm a liberal and proud of it. I don't get political often, and I'm very clear that there are other points of view, but I'm very much for government serving people, taking care of those who need help, and avoiding land wars in Asia.

  9. Most of my whiney personal stuff is flocked: If I friend you, you get to hear all about it, lucky you.

Hee, I am a long-term geek too! Not quite as veteran-statused as you, but I can say I was a Mac girl from the start. *g*
