Am in Samur on a gorgeous summer evening, but my feet hurt too much to walk any more: Due to a train strike; we rented a car and are driving around the Loire valley: Next; Brittany and Normandy: (commas and periods are too hard; but at least it`s a Mac kiosk in the bar-- yay for iMacs)

Still enjoying ourselves; trying not to eat or walk too much: I was so hot I bought a pink tiered skirt; it is much nicerto wear: In Berkeley; zhen it is 70 F / 24 C; it is low humidity: here it is sticky qnd yuk:

More tomorrow i hope zhen I find q better access ^point!

If by French keyboards you mean azerty-ones, I love 'em! :D the only thing that's better on the querty ones are the dots. Why don't the querty ones have accents and frickin' umlauts and such? We use them in Dutch, too! :-)

I am a touch-typist on qwerty keyboards, so the switch killed me. On the Mac, it's so easy to do diacritials, just press option-e and then e, and you get é!

But on an azerty you just need to hit the accented e key. :-) And I (or the Dutch uni I'm going to) don't have a mac, so... I'm always glad to be typing on my own computer, rather then on qwerty keyboards (like now *g*).

I suppose it's all a question of habit. I can't really blindtype, anyway, and if I spend too much time on the school computers, I have to readapt to my own keyboard again, as well.

Today was very oppressive weatherwise, but it'll be better in Brittany, closer to the sea and all. How much longer will you be staying in France?

You were right, it was better in Brittany! Thank you for giving me hope :-)

We stayed until the morning of the 8th.
