Sean Astin in the Bay Area in November

music: John Frusciante - Omission

Sean Astin's doing a book tour, apparently he gives a talk as well as signing There and Back Again. According to SAnet, he'll be at A Clean Well-Lighted Place for Books in SF on Friday, November 19 at 7 pm and Book Passage in Corte Madera on Saturday November 20 at 2 pm. (Isn't it sweet, he's at independent bookstores).

It would be fun to hear Sean, he could say something new and different. But I see this mainly as an opportunity for a line party, a chance to see LOTR slashers, and hang out with other fans. Anyone else want to join me?

Either day works for me. The SF store is near Civic Center BART station; otherwise I could give rides to Marin from BART to at least five people.

Please leave a comment here if you're interested or email me - msilverstar at livejournal.

I'm totally jealous of all of you. To see Sean and party with good buddies in such an enviromnent would be pure heaven. I LOVE the Bay area! Plan to visit again next Spring if I can.

Let me double check my schedule, but I'm thinking this is going to be a definite yes.

I adore A clean and well lighted place, they can cram some people in there!

Ooh, I like the idea of the Saturday date much better than trying to do it on a Friday night. Either way, I'm going to have to drive well over an hour, but I'd much rather do it during the day and not in rush-hour traffic.

So count me as a Saturday vote.
